Dr. Burlison is a native of North Louisiana. He grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. With four children of his own, Dr. Burlison is very familiar with the common day to day challenges of life. He understands and communicates openly with the female patient promoting a balance of healthy lifestyle with the busy schedules of today’s women. Dr. Burlison has been in private practice for over 19 years. Dr. Burlison ensures he is current and up to date with obstetric and gynecologic health recommendations as well as performing state of the art procedures in women’s healthcare. He focuses on complete care of the obstetric patient and has a special interest in minimally invasive surgical procedures including endometrial ablation and incision-less tubal ligation. Dr. Burlison’s personable bedside manner welcomes women of ages across the lifespan.
Dr. Burlison received his undergraduate degree in 1992 from Louisiana State University. He obtained his medical degree as well as completed his internship/residency training from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport in 2001. Dr. Burlison began his medical practice in 2001. He practices both obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Burlison is board certified by The American board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Shreveport Medical Society.
He and his wife, Andrea, are very involved with their children, Ansley, Rylan, Ashlyn, and Annasyn. He also enjoys LSU tiger football.
